__The magic and allure of an old book is tangible. 
    What to do with an old, well loved book?  Many are simply worn out with pages missing, some are thrown in the landfill while others are shredded for decomposition or cow bedding.  As much as I like cows I thought it would be nice to make beads from the pictures, envelopes from the pages and give the book another life.

We are librarians, teachers, artists and book lovers in south central Pennsylvania who wished to capture the magic of old books by using the precious pages to create wearable art and by doing so save them from the landfill. 
       Spellbound Beads are not only beautiful, but encapsulate the intent of the author or premise of the novel.

_Forming beads from the pages of books allows you to not only wear your favorite title but relive the intrinsic pleasure derived from the original story.  Some of the books and pages are antique while others are contemporary, but all are used and some treasured.
Do you think it is possible to elevate your singing by the closeness of an antique hymnal?  Is it possible to gladly recall your trip to Prince Edward Island with the wearing of a bracelet made from one of Lucy Maude Montgomery’s books?  I personally find wearing beads made from an old atlas generates wanderlust for unfamiliar latitudes.
